A woman carrying a brick broke into the home of British TV superstar Simon Cowell on Saturday night, reports reveal.
According to the British publication The Sun, Cowell was watching his appearance on the Jonathan Ross show on ITV1 when he apparently heard a loud bang from the upper rooms of his west London home.
When Cowell went to see what made the noise, he reportedly found Leanne Zaloumis, 29, in his bathroom.
Zaloumis is reported to have been holding a brick. She apparently smashed a window to get into the house, Max Clifford, Simon Cowell’s spokesperson, said.
The intruder was then confined to a room by Cowell’s security personnel until the police arrived and arrested her.
“It was a very frightening experience for Simon, who told me it was like something from a horror movie,” Cowell’s spokesperson told The Sun.
“He was just very lucky that all she had was a brick. She could have had a knife, a gun or any other weapon,” Clifford added.
Meanwhile, Zaloumis has been charged with aggravated burglary.
