Jessica Sanchez received the lowest number of votes from viewers after the top seven performances on American Idol, but the judges dramatically saved her before she even finished the first stanza of her last chance song.

The judges, led by Jennifer Lopez alongside Steve Tyler and Randy Jackson, walked towards the stage to show they were saving Jessica Sanchez from elimination.

Jennifer Lopez went over to Jessica, exclaiming, “Give me that mic! This is crazy!” The judges used their only save, a privilege that expires when the number of contestants are reduced to five.

The judges gave the talented sixteen-year-old singer a hug. Randy Jackson explained that Jessica Sanchez is one of the best singers in America. He asked the voters to vote for the best.

Jessica Sanchez is dubbed by many fans as the show’s front runner, and during the top seven performance night, the judges proclaimed that she definitely raised the bar with “Nobody’s Supposed to be Here” by Deborah Cox.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest then asked Jessica Sanchez if she was shocked about the results.  Jessica mentioned that she wasn’t, and that she really wasn’t expecting anything.

American Idol fans voted Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Elise Testone into the bottom three.
