A report is in circulation on the internet that claims that Bobby Brown wants to make a quick buck out of his former wife Whitney Houston’s death by including her death in his own biopic. The singer-songwriter also intends to cast Bobby Kristina (their teenage daughter) in this planned film.
The report, first published by Radar Online, says that Brown had prepared a script with the help of director Michael Pinckney in 2011. The screenplay titled “The Bad Boy of R&B: The Bobby Brown Story” was touted around to many studios but it failed to receive much attention.
However, Houston’s death has generated new public interest in everything related to her, and since Brown was married to her for 15 years before their divorce in 2007, he believes his movie now has some more potential than before.
The original story of “The Bad Boy of R&B: The Bobby Brown Story” wasn’t supposed to have too much stuff regarding his failed marriage with the “I Will Always Love You” crooner. He has now tweaked it a bit, added the event of her death in it so that film appeals to the Hollywood executives and picked up by someone.
In a recent interview, Pinckney said, “We actually wrote the script back in November and the movie lightly touches on their life and marriage together. We will now definitely have to go back in and revise the ending of the movie.
“This is such a sensitive subject which is why we did not push the fact that we have a script for the Bobby Brown story so soon. We definitely wanted to give it some time to disseminate just out of respect to the family, friends and fans of Whitney Houston.”
