Battleship has outperformed other movies in the global box office over the weekend.

According to Rentrak estimates, the costly Universal action film now floats to almost $130 million on international shores after raking in $58.4 million more from 50 foreign markets in its second Friday to Sunday window.

The additional revenue allowed the film to grab the top spot at the foreign box office, edging out Fox’s Titanic 3D, which grossed a total $34.3 million from 71 territories.

Battleship, which is set to debut in the U.S. on May 18, opened and topped other films in 16 countries, which include a shining $10.7 million in Russia. It perched atop in its second week on 12 countries, including Germany and the U.K.

However, the film’s largest draw was worth an estimated $17 million at 2,287 locations in China. It was the studios biggest opening weekend in the country but still failed to steal the limelight from Titanic 3D, which held first place.

Battleship will continue to conquer seas and new territories when it will debut in 14 more countries next week.

The Hunger Games, which might have capped in the domestic box office, is still hale and hearty in the global arena as Lionsgate’s book-turned-epic-movie grossed $13 million from 72 foreign territories to bring its foreign total to $216 million.

Universal’s latest America Pie film American Reunion played in 38 territories and pulled $9.5 million over the weekend to reach a $56 million total in foreign shores.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros.’ Wrath of the Titans earned $8 million from 63 territories to push its overall foreign revenue over the $200 million mark.
