Jermaine Jones has been kicked off American Idol on Wednesday as it was revealed in the show that the Top 13 singer has not been totally honest with his background.

On the Wednesday telecast of the show, it was disclosed that on Tuesday, Jermaine Jones was dismissed from the show because of not disclosing that he has outstanding warrants for his arrest in New Jersey.

The New Jersey native was shown in a segment of the show to have been confronted by American Idol executive producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick.

Warwick told Jones: “You were incumbent to tell us the truth about all of this, and it appears that you just haven’t on any level.”

Reacting to this, Jones said that he “did not want to get judged” so he did not reveal that he had outstanding arrest warrants.

“I didn’t want to get penalized for anything that happened in the past,” Jones, who has been dubbed “The Gentle Giant,” added.

Nonetheless, it was revealed by American Idol host Ryan Seacrest that come Thursday, the remaining contestants on the show are still “at risk” of elimination.
